Training Centre in Sarny Damaged in Air Attack – please pray for our team
Our vocational training centre in Sarny sustained roof damage following a recent air attack.29th September 2026
On Tuesday September 29, a Russian drone was shot down approximately 500 metres from our vocational training centre in Sarny. Thankfully, everyone was safe and no one was injured.
The following day, Wednesday September 30, our region experienced another significant air attack. A nearby bridge was damaged and fragments also damaged the roof of our training centre. We are so grateful that our students and teachers had already reached safety when the air-raid alarms sounded, and no one was injured.
Repairs to the roof have now begun. Following several days of intensive aerial attacks, classes have been moved online until at least Monday for the safety of our students and staff.
Also on Wednesday, another region where we recently expanded our family programme came under heavy fire.
In Sumy, a Russian guided aerial bomb struck a local school while classes were in session. Thanks to the quick response of teachers and staff, around 100 people, including all young children (grades 1–4), were rushed to a shelter moments before the explosion. Miraculously, no children or staff were injured.
Though the reality of war brings constant danger, fear, and loss, we are continually reminded of God's faithfulness and His hand of protection over our teams and families.
Our team in Ukraine sent us videos of the damage to the school and homes in the area.
